In the same sense that a Mercedes Benz 5 Series is a better car than the Ford Crown Victoria driven by cab drivers around here.

The reasons of that choice might help you understand why Apple is in such problems, even though in the past it had undoubtedly the better machine, (technically speaking).

This is what the cab driver told me:

- Any car we choose needs a major repairs every three-four months,
just because of the mileage.

- A Ford breaks down every three months, a Mercedes breaks every
five months.

- I can take my Ford to any repair shop, and they know how to repair
it, this is not the case with Mercedes.

- There are generic spare parts generally available for Fords so
I save lots of money this way.

- Customers sometimes carry odd packages. The leader upholstery on
Mercedes does not take kindly to many of them.

So this is how a technically superior product can be shuned by the majority of users.

There is no arguing that Apple is suffering from some of those problems, and thus the reduction in sales. Are these problems all in the past? You tell me.
