This jibes well with some things I've heard from people on both the HP and CPQ side as well as software providers to HP. Apparently, the integration of some supply chain activities did not go as smoothly as hoped for, and there were some interruptions. These problems should dissipate as all new products will be built around the new "common" systems.

That's always the problem when you design an operation in a "clean room" (as the HP and CPQ teams did). When you get out into the real world, you find that you overlooked something that makes it messy.

But as I said, I suspect it was a temporary problem that has already been mostly resolved.

Not to say I think the company is an incredible value at these levels, but this particular piece of news is probably being overblown.
