Yep. 1x EVDV has the huge advantage for Nokia that there is zero chance of real world use for 18 months to 2 years.

That seems to be why Sprint is waiting waiting waiting for it. Seems stupid, but then that is Sprint - fits with not using BREW which would be a no brainer - except for Sprint's thinking Java will be good enough and Sprint will keep all the proceeds - limited though they might be.

Losers wait.

PS But the joke is that Nokia has no working phone using 1x data. Perhaps there will be one someday. Then perhaps there will be some sort of 1x DV of one variety or other. Suggest that based on Nokia's track record re: CDMA - bad - we not hold our breath for either. But then, who knows, perhaps we will be pleasantly surprised and Nokia can cut the mustard.
