I use CBS in my other league

It costs 120.00 for a 12 team league. Then from there each team pays a charge determined by the league so that the league can have a traveling trophy or money payout etc.

For the past two seasons, we've offered the Football Commissioner service at no charge. When we switched to a free service in 2000, our expectation was that we would attract a large audience of loyal users and that advertisers would line up to reach them. We had great success in building the audience and invested an abundance of time, effort and money to be sure our premium league management service was available to everyone who was interested. However, it became clear that by offering the product free of charge, we could not sustain the level of investment we felt necessary to continually improve the Football Commissioner offering for our dedicated customers who expect the best service available online. We are committed to making those investments in order to serve our best customers. A return to subscription-based products is the best way to ensure that commitment.

Marking one of the most important decisions in the history of our company, we are returning to a fee-based service for the 2002 season. Each Football Commissioner league will cost $139.95. Because your league is already part of the SportsLine family, we are offering a $20 early-bird discount -- down to $119.95 -- if you pay by August 16, 2002. That works out to $10 per person for the average 12-team league. By charging this nominal fee, we can ensure that the Football Commissioner product will not only be available but continuously improved for as long as customers demand it (and that, we're hoping, will be a very long time). Given the quality of experience we're committed to providing, we hope you find the price to be reasonable. Yet before we ask you to make a season-long commitment, please take advantage of our 14-day grace period to reacquaint yourself with the web site and make sure all of your competitors are back in the game. In addition, we offer a money back guarantee.

We are working hard to earn your business for this and the many years to come. Thank you for your continuing support and best of luck for a great 2002 season!

Sincerely,

The CBS SportsLine.com Fantasy Staff
