examples list of inflation-deflation divergence price trends: tech goods - down consumer goods - down specialty goods - up utilities - up food - up insurance - way up (car, home, health) property tax - way up housing/rent - way up cars - down (counting endless incentives) airfares - up hookers - way up collector items - up (coins, art, jewelry) hotels - up foreign classic cars - way up sports/ movies/ restaurant entertainment - up my personal take is that CPI includes few if any up items the divergence will eventually become clear debt-driven economy -- TREND DOWN in price cash-driven, public managed economy -- TREND UP in price gonna get divergent as hell soon, confusing experts to no end I will find it extremely amusing to observe they havent figured out this economy up to now AND IT WILL GET HARDER FROM HERE ONWARD !!! / jim
