I was referring to not just books and movie tickets but ALL of your spending. Inflation of course is a rate of change just not a rate of change for only books and movies (which I was trying to say). Can't answer about casinos subsidizing anything considering that Nevada, like almost every other state, is in deficit due to the bad economy. In fact, even though Vegas is known as being recession proof, what's different this time is that Sep 11 affected air travel and that has affected Casino bookings and profits. That in turn has created the lowest prices in room rates in history.
