What happens if, the day after Bush invades Iraq, Saddam perfects a time machine (written in Java) that allows him to go back in history and lets him win the Gulf War? Will people (finally) be fed up with Sun technologies at that point? Your idea may be a little more technically feasible. But only slightly. Of course your whole question betrays your bias. Why should people be "fed up" with PCs (and not telephones, automobiles, televisions, etc), other than to suit your personal agenda?
