Thanks for posting the McWhorter article. It was quite relevant to things discussed here recently. Needless to say (I would imagine), I think the new admissions scheme of the guilt-ridden Berkeley faculty is devious and ... well, really ridiculous. What this can possibly have to do with excellence in education, which I thought we all agree is the goal, is beyond me. It always pleases me so much to see a bright and accomplished black spokesperson refusing to accept the demeaning, patronizing notion that his young brothers and sisters need to be supplied with crutches if they are to have a chance at success.
