Hi Joel, my wife has a habit to keep leftover food in the refrigerator for longer than I care to still eat them, and so, every so often, I do an indiscriminant fridge cleaning and chuck out just about everything except for the packaged drinks and stuff just purchased.

I then hunker down and ignore her rants, which typically last for about 1/2 hours with intensity and 1 day at less intensity, until all is well once more.

Perhaps this is an advisable approach for you in regard to the desk and your wife:0?
