Cook really gives GDT just two main drivers - The AAA graft and the paclitaxel stent technology. The other Cook lines are small and the fields are filled with big strong competitors. My guess, and that is all it is, is that GDT sells these lines, quietly. No way to win those battles - outside the realm of core competencies. Why play?

GDT had to pay through the nose for Cook (Cook's operating income was just over $100 last year and GDT paid $3 billion, but GDT had to protect their division).

Now we wait on the courts again.
