Breakthrough ANTs Data Server Now Available
ANTs software inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: ANTS) , a developer of software technology that enables high-performance data operations, announced today that it has published a downloadable evaluation version of the ANTs Data Server ("ADS") on its web site. The evaluation version includes a simple test application that demonstrates the ADS performance advantage. ADS is a full relational database management system that supports entry- level SQL-92, ODBC and JDBC API's, and runs on the Windows platform. A port to Sun Microsystems' Solaris platform is underway. Tests conducted by ANTs, using the widely accepted methodology developed by the Transaction Processing Performance Council (TPC), demonstrate that ADS processed eleven times as many transactions-per-minute as a leading database server.
