CAn you believe this clown? Talking about low interest rates(YES...lowest since 1958) and have been around for months and what has it gotten us....no job growth, rising unemployment, deficit spending, and lower consumer confidence....
Hey,Shrub! Wise up and try to understand..."That dog want hunt".

What we have gotten in the understanding that both he and his VP are crooks...he even admits that what they both did is crooked...BUT just doesn't apply to them. Spin...Spin...but the guy just doesn't get it.

Bush Says Optimistic on Economy

PITTSBURGH (Reuters) - President Bush on Monday said he was optimistic about the U.S. economy, noting interest rates were low and monetary policy was sound, despite rising speculation over a possible "double-dip" recession.

"I'm an optimist about our economy, and I should be," Bush told a political fund-raising lunch. "The fundamentals are strong. Interest rates are low. Monetary policy is sound."

Government reports last week raised fears of a "double-dip recession" following a rebound early in 2002. The reports showed the nation's growth rate slowed much more than expected in the April-June period this year and revealed weakness in the job market and factory sector.

Speaking earlier in the Pittsburgh area where he recognized nine rescued miners as an inspiration for the country, Bush used the term "economic downturn."

"It is the determined spirit of America and our optimism and our ability to solve problems which will help us deal with the economic downturn," Bush said.
