"The soviet union was a bigger threat..." than Iraq and they crumbled from within under the weight of their own misguided notions, as surely as will Iraq. We didn't challenge Russia to a nuclear holocaust. IF we truly believe Iraq has those same capabilities, why challenge them? to pre-empt a strike against us? Hardly, they don't have the capabilities to reach that far and anything they do to precipitate war in their region will be met with retaliation and they know it. Bush sr had his chance to take out saddam years ago, blew it. two wrongs by two wrongheaded bushes aren't going to fix the problem. It will only jeopardize the rest of the world and the fallout WILL hurt us.
