Goldman Sachs to predict in an e-mail to clients that the Fed would chop a hefty three-quarters of a percentage point off U.S. interest rates by the year-end..

Carl you must have missed the part where Goldman also asked for Congress to speed up the tax cuts scheduled for 2004 and 2006 to next year.

So I wouldn't put took much stock in Goldman Sachs wishlist. Certainly the Fed hasn't yet acted on Goldman request. I doubt that Congress will act on it either.
