Whatever it is, it is getting Ugly, with a capital U....I think the most important question has to be how long before the consumer runs out of credit?
And then, what happens when the home he has mortgaged to the peak of value, and that value starts to turn negative?
I think this is going to be a long, long winter of our discontent....

I read something over the weekend that stated the American consumer is currently spending 98% of his disposable after tax income servicing debt. If that is in fact a correct number, that can indicate only one thing.....
