Rumsfeld wants to turn the "Powell Doctrine" on it's head!

He certainly has an ambitious agenda. Some posters here complain about our "Neocon Hawks" having no Military Experience, but I don't think we have ever had a Sec Def with a resume like Rumsfelds. He started as a Naval Aviator when I was a corporal, back in 1954, and has more Military knowledge and "Time in Grade" than anyone who has served in his position. My God, the man first served as Sec Def in 1975, when Powell was a Light bird hoping to retire out as a General.

I doubt if will get all he wants, but at least he is determined to get these terrorists, and not let it slide under the mat, like some of our posters seem to prefer.
