Incorrect. The Treasury neither sets nor controls monetary policy.

I don't know what the volume has been this year on new Treasury bond sales. But if it has been significant, then that's going to put a further crimp in our economy which is struggling to avoid a double dip right now.

Nope. Rollover has no detectable effect on economy. New Treasury paper sold is merely being exchanged for demand deposits. No net effect except a small increase in interest liability.
