Just got DirectPC one-way satellite internet installed today. It runs like a champ. FYI, the cost is as follows: under $250-$350 for hardware and installation, and under $50/month. For people without DSL or cable, or with connectivity problems, this may be a useful choice. I'll report more after exercising it during market hours.
