Two-way DirectPC costs more, probably about $600. The one-way version I have uses a[ny] dial-up ISP for the outbound link, and satellite for the inbound. Until early July there was a no-cost installation offer at Best Buy; one probably could have had my system, installed, for about $200.

There was a service outage this evening, maybe somehow related to the system just having been set up. (Likely story.) I'll definitely check and report its suitability for trading.

FYI, an advantage of one-way is that it supports VPNs, while the two-way appears not to. I'll probably get a dedicated local-only phone line for it, and stick with one-way.

Responsiveness is excellent; I can hardly wait to try it out.
