Going from the AMAT website. Pulling up the 1996 Annual report. I see Stockholder's Equity was 996 Million in the camparison data for year 1994.

Ah wait here we go. From the "Selected Financial Data" 5 year comparison:

1992 Stockholders Equity was $474 Million
1992 Total Assets were $890 Million
(No Number for cash exists in this table)

Going to the "Statement of cash flows" tables. It has $160 Million listed as Ending Cash for the year 1994. Beginning cash was $120 Million for 1994.

One would think it necessary to take the level of cash into consideration when calculating past Price/Sales ratios? Given the very material $5 Billion increase over the 10 year period.
