It's amazing anything gets done right. When a company like SS/L is under stress, morale is down and many people just plain do not care anymore. A lot of crap passes on to the next assembly that should not fly. It is marginal at best. As lay-offs continue, people will look to blame management, Loral Corp. or Bernard Schwartz. Some will diligently carry on like good soldiers, others will seek to get even. It happened during layoffs to one of the Intelsat-7 satellites. I forget which flight model, but one of the sats in the high-bay was sabotaged. Someone had cut certain wires in the wire-harness. Fortunately it was found. As things get worse, things like that happen.
