Hi Bob, Good to hear from you; it's been a while. Here's the history since 1982.......

Six weeks at low risk in Fall of 1998
Eight weeks following 9/11/2001
16 weeks after the "crash" of 1987
21 weeks in Fall of 1990

The only other times have been for four weeks or less. The Idiot Wave has only seen Low Risk six times since 1982.

So, it was the fear of war in 1990 (coupled with an up-tick in interest rates) that brought the market down for the longest continuous Low Risk period. Hmmmm. Maybe I should be paying more attention to the headlines.
