>> Your crap about allegiance is nonsense. Many people have a cultural heritage and are proud of it, and it doesn't have to take away from patriotism <<

correct. being proud of your heritage doesn't have to conflict with patriotism toward your country. i am proud of my western european heritage but i don't place the interests of western europe above america. i don't have an emotional attachment to europe that conflicts with the interests of america.

>> I never saw a flag of Israel in his house but I did an american flag <<

i saw deputy secretary of state paul wolfowitz (sent to speak on behalf of bush) addressing tens of thousands of supporters at a pro-israel rally at the captiol in washington a few months back. there were all kinds of people waving israeli flags there. waving israeli flags, palestinian flags, mexican flags, etc. is unpatriotic. the only flags americans should be waving is american flags.

you cannot be a true patriot and have a dual loyalty. i think theodore roosevelt expressed this perfectly when he said:

"The man who loves other countries as much as his own stands on a level with the man who loves other women as much as he loves his own wife." --Theodore Roosevelt

now i think you will find that many jews love israel as much or even more than they love america. many prominent jews have even expressed this publicly. so by definition, jews who have an emotional attachment to israel aren't being patriotic americans. same goes for mexicans here who have dual citizenship or any other group who doesn't have 100% allegiance to the united states.

"There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is room here for only 100 per cent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else." --Theodore Roosevelt, Republican Convention; Saratoga

"Once it was true that this country could not endure half free and half slave. Today it is true that it cannot endure half American and half foreign. The hyphen is incompatible with patriotism." --Theodore Roosevelt
