I have a very simple set of rules. If you go to a board that discusses stocks, you need to discuss stocks. if you go to a board that is about offtopic chatter, then you are free to do whatvr you want. But, cut the one-line loser, harassing, annoying stuff out. And leave LG alone. I know there is bad blood between you. Get over it. he's here talking about stocks.....

Nope.
We take the "civil and on-topic discourse" thing a lot more seriously here than we did at SI.
As much as I'd like to see the CFZ folks using iHub, if a high noise/signal ratio comes with it, we'd just as soon do without.
If you're going to participate here, we'd rather you do so in your own board instead of diluting another board and pissing/chasing off participants from it, and when you do use your own board, we'd appreciate it if it's used for your own brand of commentary (including the looser off-topic standards) but not for pot-shots at others.

I didn't say you took pot-shots at anyone. I said that if you do decide to stay and use the CFZ board here, it not be used for pot-shots.
The problem today is that you've "participated" a lot in a board that has a high signal/noise ratio, but your participation has been, well, "noise". My inbox is full of complaints about it and I'm sure Matt's is even more full.
You're welcome to stay here, but only if you can deal with the higher standards.

No, it has nothing to do with whether or not "enough" people "bitch and complain". If complaints are received, the admin checks into it and takes action based on his own read of the situation. Same as on SI but with much stricter standards. The SI TOU doesn't apply here. We're a lot stricter than SI so we don't have the kind of shit here that has taken place repeatedly on SI in the past.
Joel's post on SI about whether "cock" and "cunt" are allowed on SI is a perfect example. That would've been his last post here. At SI, he'll probably get a warning, if that.
Again, if you want to participate here, you're welcome to, but not by SI's rules or standards. They're different here. Far more restrictive, which works for some and doesn't work for others. Most importantly, "more restrictive" works for the site's owners and you're talking to one of them.
Bottom line is that what's the "status quo" on SI just isn't tolerated here. Period. Different site; different rules.

LG doesn't rule the site. Matt does.
I did read your posts and I would've done exactly the same as Matt. In my opinion, it perfectly justified my having added that particular account level. It is the way it is, and if that's a problem, you know where the door is. We'll miss you, but we'll get over it.
Again, you're welcome to post here, but not if this is going to be some backup place for you to go stir up or start some shit anytime you're bored at SI.
And if you think your conduct today was comparable to everyone else's on that board, then it's apparent that you really didn't do much reading there. You'd only written 30 posts on the site prior to today, and never to Zeev's board, but you posted 16 times today in about 6 hours, exclusively to that board. I have no idea whether you were trying to annoy LG, annoy the folks at iHub's busiest board, or what, but that kind of participation simply isn't welcome here.
