Define patriotism how you will... Many people would disagree with your view. Ron Reagan sang Irish Eyes and other Irish dittys at the white house while the president, along with the Canadian PM, for shame, no doubt that Irish conspiracy thing again is rearing its head. Two leaders, Canadian and American with Irish blood in them, singing songs of the motherland. How unpatriotic and a sure sign of a conspiracy!
