John & Paul: I am tiring of this left/right debate :-) Assume for a minute that the government is actually just that and is interested in our defense. Lets also assume they have a smoking gun. If I were Bush - I would launch an attack - and simultaneously do a JFK style address to the nation to show the evidence (having briefed Congressional leaders earlier in the day). Just like the Cuban Missile Crisis. If this were the case, how would your opinions change on a war? John btw - I for one would like to believe that some events rise above politics. And I would also venture that had Al Gore been elected and been at the helm on 9/11 - it would not have been as disasterous as some would have us believe. Democrats and Republicans are both Americans first.
