For L/T and M/T I will wait for at least 20% return but for S/T, 5-10% is good enough for me. When I see 5% in a day or 10% in a week, I'll take it any time. I've took some s/t long off the table today. For s/t, not sure about 1400, I'll get rid of all s/t when I see nas in 1300s. I haven't been doing much s/t trading lately but these days markets are so volatile and predictable, gotta play the game, the game of probability. When the odds are better than 60%, worth try it. In vegas, the winning odds are at best 48%.... You just don't get to see 5% MARKET swing in a day so often. (Who knows, perhaps this volatility is the thing of the future)
