Perhaps what we are seeing in the USA is a bit like dog-breeding.
Mix up the breeds and what do you get?
Combine a British bulldog, with a German Alsatian [we know what they look and act like] and an Irish Setter akc.org - what do you get?
Maybe that's what we are getting in the USA. Dogs do reflect their owners [like those two criminals who killed the woman in San Francisco with their dogs].
Throw in a French poodle - oh, hang on, there aren't any French to speak of. How about throwing in a bit of Spanish Mastiff, though Hispanics are not central to USA power techma.it
Perhaps the German background is working its way to the surface, replacing the more freedom-loving enlightenment British approach the USA was founded on. Kissinger's a German I think. He seems to swing a bit of weight still. John Erlichman must have Alsatian antecedents. Haldeman. I suppose there are plenty of others but they spring to mind.
I consider DNA has a lot to do with how dog breeds act and also how human breeds act.
Put the Germans in charge of love, the Italians in charge of government, the British in charge of cooking, the French in charge of the army ... what a mess.
How about Germans in charge of the army, police and security, Italians in charge of love, French in charge of cooking, British in charge of bureaucracy, Irish in charge of music, etc... mix and match to get what you want. Do you want the Germans in charge of goose-stepping?
