Grace, I don't have any doubt that stock options are compensation that should be expensed. The reason I mentioned the question was rhetorical is because Buffet does not have any doubt either, nor do the majority of other finance and accounting professionals that do not have a vested interest in seeing this shameful situation continue. I don't see any logic at all in arguing that granting equity cannot be compensation that entails an expense. If you believe otherwise, please feel free to give me some of the equity you hold in companies at no charge. It won't cost you a thing.<ggg> Best, Huey
