Sarkie, I knew a guy that would let the tele-marketer drone on with his spiel, ask pertinent questions about whatever he was selling, try to carry on an even longer conversation, and then tell them he was hard of hearing, and asked them to repeat the whole thing. One by one, the calls dwindled.
