If one caused something to happen wholly inadvertently, it is quite different from deliberately causing it to happen. That is a fundamental distinction. All of the rest is refining its application. It would be a travesty of justice to hold someone accountable for an accidental death to the same degree as someone acting with malice aforethought.....
