Promoting hate against a group of people based on alleged activities of sick teenagers is pretty despicable.
And which group have I "promoted hate against"? I have let the teenagers speak for themselves. Doesn't it trouble you that a whole bunch of them would say these things, and a site which purports to be "resource" for them would let them? It speaks very badly of their religious training. My own relgious training never said a word about "hating infidels", much less killing them. How many of these kids are ready fodder for al Qaeda recruiters at their local mosque?
You know, in the twenties, when some foresighted people were saying this Hitler fellow is dangerous, have you read Mein Kampf? those who poo-pooed it did so by saying, he's not serious, he's a clown, he doesn't mean it, he won't get followers. They hadn't thought of the "how dare you promote hate against Germans" line. I doubt it would have worked, since the original "hate-promoting" charge was: Have you seen what this man is saying? Sensitivity training has advanced since those days, I guess.
That is my charge: Have you seen what these kids are saying? Have you seen that they believe that their religion sanctions killing infidels?
Have you ever seen Steve Emerson's video Jihad in America? Whatever we are dealing with, it is a LOT more than a couple of dozen fruitcakes. Denial won't make it go away, but hopefully good police work can. Before the next attack, I pray. |
