I would appreciate it if someone who was familiar with the VM market would explain to me why the Lucent - Octel acquisition would not be anti-competitive with respect to Boston Tech. Wouldn't the Lucent combination give them an inside edge toward future sales especially since Lucent would be able to incorporate Octel's VM systems into their existing digital network products? So how can Lucent say there is no anti-trust issue here?
