I think Karen loses track of the individual with whom she's conversing on occasion. For example, yesterday she wrote this to me:

In so many of these conversations, particularly with you and JLA, I am often frustrated by the terse, unenlightening replies. What I do sometimes, and what I did here, was to ponder how anyone, a theoretical anyone, could conclude that my position on the death penalty was liberal. Those were the potential explanations that came to mind. I offered the multiple choice statement in the hopes that you would either choose one of my potential explanations or offer one of your own instead. In that way I hoped to get an explanation. Otherwise I tend to get useless cracks like "bwa ha ha" or "spoken like a true demolib pinhead" or "I know it in my gut."

Now, I can tell you, I don't know if I've uttered any of those three phrases to her EVER! Yet, in a day where you weren't around, and in the middle of what started as a serious discussion on the death penalty, she uses three phrases (that I never use) as an excuse for why she resorted to ad hominem. She seems to have confused me with you, even though you weren't part of the dialog.

And she claims to abhor labelling and categorizing people. LOL.
