hi yeow,

I'm attributing the price action to removal from the TSX Composite - based on the company's 8/31 valuation, whereby, by my rough calculations Wi-LAN will be not be of sufficient size to warrant continued inclusion (their market cap would need to be nearer to $150-$160M to stay in); this is the second wave of removals as the TSE continues to restructure their main index. They dodged the first wave but I'm afraid there is no escaping the second unless they have news that will triple the market cap by the end of the month...?

Note that the change is effective the 3rd Friday of September and will be formally announced in the first 10 business days of September.

Regards, rob

btw the company's weighting is relatively small so the actual amount of selling may not be that great, but the stigma in combination with a downtrending market (if it continues) is having the predictable outcome you're talking about.

ALL JMHO...
