>>AC, these security hassles are trivial. Americans have the most freedom of anyone on earth<<

True enough, but there's a sub-species of human in every country, homo regulatus, that believes you can never have enough rules. These people gravitate towards state and federal government and the academic and legal professions (most Congressmen are lawyers - now you know why - they just love rules). For homo regulatus, an unregulated activity is an abomination, and seeing people having fun doing something that they are neither taxing nor regulating is more than they can stand.

It's up to us independent-minded freedom fighters to hold back homo regulatus, or we will suffocate under an ever increasing blanket of bullshit. (They can have my gun when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers and so forth).

>>In Britain, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A LICENSE TO WATCH TV!!!<<

I know, I escaped from Britain twenty years ago. Britain is overrun by homo regulatus and for the most part, that's just the way the Brits like it. Have you noticed that Britain has been on the winning side in every war in which it has participated since 1066? Ever wonder why?
