Well, if he's ever tried to explain his methodology, intelligible or not, I've never seen it. But I haven't looked very hard for it. Got link(s)?

Jeff's methodology for the long-term and short-term seem fairly clear. For e-wave I read Shack, AA, and Velo and the others who post on their boards, and their methodology is also clear. Many others trade on FA, sentiment, trendline and horiz S/R, price patterns, indicators, max-pain, etc., and combinations of them. Those methodologies are also clear.

Others simply make calls. Most of these have poor win/lose ratios and are mostly ignored, but a few of the "black box" guys, like Zeev and Donald Sew have ratios better than sheer luck would support and I do not ignore them. It would be fascinating to see how they arrive at their conclusions, but since they don't share the methodology the most I can do is note when their calls diverge from mine, and keep that under advisement. I can't (won't) trade off them if I don't understand them. Actually, I wouldn't trade off them even if I did understand them, but their calls would carry more weight.
