"Amazon is still lacking expertise in retailing as I always stated and they have never really addressed the issue" That has always been my understanding of your major issue -- this is a retailer without retailing expertise and with a weak business plan. Good retailers will sell some things online and make money. But AMZN is not a good retailer and elements of its business plan are deeply flawed. Its early mistakes saddled it with debt and its prospects are bleak. That was always my understanding of your position.
