Pleeease. I get enough exercise chasing down the biased reporting on this Gold-Post-Mortem Thread. Gotta buy gold for any reason they can create. Everyone's looking for an edge. Gotta get higher then the next person. Gotta make more. Gotta make it faster. Gotta take no risks. Gotta do it for God, your country, you nation, ethnic group, religious group, wife, kids, brother, neighbor... gotta blame everyone but themselves for losses. Blame you, blame government, blame a hate group, blame a religion, blame central banks, bullion banks, currencies, blame the neighbor. Gotta immobilize the currency of gold, gotta fixate the holdings of central banks. Gotta stop hedging, gotta rebalance the equity malaise called markets. Gotta stop fraud, gotta create some fraud of my own.

The amounts of dis-information on here is huge. Gold is as gold does. It's only precious if you buy it, if you buy into it. I see no real reason to own gold, just Opportunity. And in the end, that's all gold really is. It's not a safe haven; it's an opportunity to defend against risk, to adhere to risk, to dissolve risk. It is a 'vehicle' to riches, with inherent risk.
