If they do write down heavily, it will influence Q3 "warnings" quite significantly and obviously quite positively

how do you figure that? extra "charges" this Q?

Also, the economy seems to be decelerating much faster than anyone expected. Witness BBY this am. Won't this keep a cap on things?
