EP conference call was very good. I recommend investors listen to it and follow along with the slide show.

I can only hope that short touts and sellers will depress the stock price because I like holding economy-anchoring stocks that toss off a 6% dividend when money market funds are yielding <2%.

This company has 70% of its activity in the gas business. This is stable, and growing. Like it or not essentially all the new power plants near urban areas will be gas-fired. EP has best access to these.

Note that they have 2X debt coverage FROM GAS BUSINESS ALONE. During Q1 of 2003, the pooling of interest restrictions lift, so expect asset sales then. Debt equity ratio next year targeted to reach 46%.

Restatement of Q1 is more transparency, no change in financials. CEO and CFO will sign SEC verification next week with 10Q filing.
