The Florida Court directed that it was ok to re-count only some of the counties where-in more legal votes might be found. That thought was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, 7-2. Gore's wonderful lawyer had asked for partial counting. It was always obviously wrong to do...if desperate indeed, too.
