This article takes us to far afield from our purpose here.

I guess I'm missing that one FL..

I actually found the article a fascinating 1st person account reflective of what I hear about "Israel having perpetrated 9/11" in many middle eastern editorials and essays...

I hope you're not stating that the apparent cognitive disonnance occuring in the muslim world is not pertinent. It's apparent to me that the individual in that article was utterly appalled by 9/11 and unable to believe that a muslim could commit such an atrocity. So it has to be the US and Israel, who committed the act so we could occupy a piece of desolate terrain in SW Asia. Many Germans went through the same mental state when the horrors of Nazi extermination camps were revealed. They just refused to believe it and even to this day, certain factions claim that it was all a Jewish lie created in the media.

But I think we all have a sense of the facts surrounding 9/11 and the linkage to Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. But we also have to be aware that the Bush Administrations faces the daunting task of convincing the muslim world that lurking within their faith are people who so twist their religion that they can justify such horrendous acts as 9/11 and suicide bombings.

Cognitive Dissonance of the muslim world, FL.. That's pertinent to the discussion of Foreign Affairs, imo...

In fact, it's the filter through which they perceive our actions and reactions.
