Hello G Barr. You seem to have a lot of info on the recount saga. Why won't you answer my question about the justification (or lack of) to go further in counting process than the law of Florida allowed, which was a mandatory machine recount if the results were closer than 1/2%? In my view arguing the minutia of what happened after that is a waste of time. But there are still those like yourself that will repeat the lie that Gore won over and over. Oh well. I predicted you would not answer, and you have not. Would like to hear your view if you care to give it.

The issue you speak of was not insturmental to the Supreme Court's outragious equal protection decision which is what decided the case at that level, not the interpretation of Florida election law. I have never been much concerned with the issue you raise or the correctness of the Florida's Supreme Court's opinion on that matter for even if such was decided incorrectly (and it may have been) it doesn't mean the Supreme Court was correct in its actions. However, you are simply stating that the Florida court was wrong as an established back, but only 3 Justices joined the opinion that said its interpretation was so unreasonable and Souter and Ginsburg point out there was nothing in the Florida court's inpteretation that was so out of the ordinary unreasonable.
