I'm used to seeing that particular phenomena with big articles in the Atlantic and the NYT Magazine, but the gap seemed a little big there for promotional purposes (Fall 99 / Nov. 2001? ). I actually never heard of The National Interest before, though, I don't know if there was much promotional value to be had there. FA take a pass on that one?
