Like I said your precious article doesn't address my questions:

Show me where is answers the question of how allowing different counties to use voting machines with different error rates doesn't vioate the court's pronouncement of uniform standards and treatment of all legal votes (including overvotes and undervotes)?

Show me where he explains how the court can break with precedent requiring a showing of purposeful discrimination?

Show me where it explains how the decision can be supported by history as Scalia claims is required.

The bottom line is either all legal votes (as defined by Fla law, which the majority didn't dispute) must be counted equally or they don't. If they don't, they had no business stopping the count. If they do, they were right to stop the count and were constitutionally required to ensure all legal votes were counted by the 14th amendment. The safe harbor dealine (a statutory, not consitutional, deadline) cannot not overrule a constitutional violation.

Don't worry, I don't really expect you to have an answer.
