AO MOSENERGO’s TEZ-28 is the first to implement the advanced steam and gas equipment

At present, TEZ is being equipped with a steam compressor (TNU). The productivity of the unit is 6 Gcal. As a result, the station’s heat generation will grow by 15%. In annualized terms, the new installation will earn the company 2 million rubles.

The unit was developed by Moscow Machinery Production Plant Salut producing and servicing aircraft engines, and more recently power and gas pumping equipment. The new equipment has been tested since the beginning of the year. As soon as it is installed, the compressor will be tested on water steam. Prior to use at TEZ, these units were used in aviation and were run on water. The launch of the unit is scheduled for December 2002.

TEZ-28 continues the cooperation with Saturn. In future, the companies are going to carry out a joint project to install a gas turbine unit MES-60, which uses a complex steam injection technology. This will help TEZ-28 to advance to new technical levels, making a breakthrough in the power sector, as it will make it possible to save 30% of fuel. Today, no technology in the world helps to save so much. In addition the new equipment improves ecological indicators, significantly reducing atmosphere pollution.

TEZ-28 is AO MOSENERGO’s testing range. Jointly with the Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences and other institutes working on power sector problems, the company has set up a scientific and technical center, which implements the most advanced technologies in the power industry. Equipment undergoing testing is then installed at power stations and branches of AO MOSENERGO.
