If Gore hadn't run such an inept campaign and been such a two-faced weenie, he would have easily won. He had 8 years of a good economy and the country was relatively happy about the way things were going. Of course, Clinton's shenanigans in his 2nd term certainly hurt him too. Nader only became a factor because Gore was a weenie and ran a pretty bad campaign. Even so, he probably would have won if Nader wasn't in the race.
