"...desire for state payment for the costs of the Christian academies that were created for those who didn't want to mix with blacks."

Now that's an interesting perspective? I could probably list dozens of reasons to create a Christian Academy that has nothing to do with race, if I were a Christian. Where did you get that anyway? Aw what the heck...how about just a top ten list off the top-o-my-head, for giggles:

10) To shelter children from the influences of an addictive and violent culture during their formative years.
9) To offer an environment where a standard of moral behavior is taught, supported, and expected without apology or contradiction.
8) To create a climate of living principles that are modeled by adults and required of children.
7) To provide knowledge and skills around a basic academic base that is not filtered and supplemented with conflicting social agendas.
6) To provide an opportunity for children to grow up in an atmosphere of confidence and competence.
5) To encourage a sense of purpose in life that is bigger and broader than exercises in materialistic fatalism.
4) Living from moment to moment with respect and conscientious adherence to a universal and superordinate meaning that lies behind every thought, feeling, word, concept, action, event, and period in time.
3) To provide a sense of community and belonging to high ideals and standards of living, instead of multi-diverse tolerant schizophrenia.
2) To create a forum for dealing with their humanity and the world based on a foundation that is unencumbered with the requirements of political correctness.
1) To provide a practical application for a world view that they believe in.

"Nasty business all around."

Ya don't say?
