It's a sorry commentary on those who would like to stifle intelligent discussion on Microsoft, to engage in flooding the board with scores of poorly-written, incoherent rants, which address no real points, contain no factual content whatsoever, and simply serve to drown out and discourage anyone with an intelligent point to make.
Your sanctimonious comment about "stifling" discussion is laughably phony. Who's really the one trying stifle the discussion here? Who's the one trying to fill this board with junk postings, so good discussion, and those interested in making good posts, give up in frustration and leave?
Sure, individuals can put him on ignore. As if that would stop him from polluting this board. But not everyone will ignore him, and some will waste time responding to his posts. And how many new posters are going to be attracted to a board if half the postings are crap? And as the intelligent posters leave, the amount of good postings falls, in what could be called a "Yahoo-ization" of this thread.
And only the bashers will be left.
Then you can have all the negative "discussion" you want, interruption-free. |
